Ruminations on the System i Market
Reader Miles J. Butler recommends Experian EigerPAY Gateway, a PC server-based package for interfacing to Bankers' Automated Clearing Services (BACS) that he has used interfacing with i system IFS folders.
"I've been impressed from day one with the sales team through to implementation through to after sales. It does what it says on the box--what more do you need to say."
EigerPAY Gateway fully supports Enhanced Transmission Service (ETS) specifications and provides for full integration with existing systems and third-party tools for deployment, monitoring, workflow, and reporting. The product is fully configurable via a GUI and facilitates an automated environment with automatic transmission and data-retrieval scheduling.
The solution also features configurable alerting to give notification of errors or problems to selected contacts. It offers support for PC, mid-range, and mainframe platforms and includes
comprehensive high-speed transmission emulation facilities to automatically convert file and report formats, naming conventions, and file acknowledgements.
****Reader's Choice is a System iNEWS/System iNetwork feature that lets nonbiased readers (no vendor employees, please) offer feedback on products and services that have helped them. If you'd like to recommend a product that you've used to solve actual problems, save money, or simplify a process, we--and our readers--want to know about it. Put your recommendation of 500 words or less here or send it to Erin Bradford at erin.bradford@penton.com or post it on our LinkedIn page under the Discussions tab.****
